Wesley College Melbourne, a Uniting Church school with a rich tradition spanning 151 years, is a diverse, dynamic, coeducational learning community with more than 3,150 students aged between 3 and 18 years across three main campuses.            

Commencing in 2018, the VCE/VET Curriculum Coordinator is responsible for the pedagogical leadership, management and oversight of VCE/VET curriculum, assessment and reporting across Years 11 - 12. The VCE/VET Curriculum Coordinator is expected to display thought leadership and to promote creative, innovative thinking among colleagues in regard to curriculum, pedagogy and learning in line with the values of both Wesley College and the Victorian Curriculum and Assessments Authority (VCAA).

The College is seeking an exemplary candidate who, among other qualities, can demonstrate:                                   

  • Proven leadership experience in the Senior Years and in the administration of VCE and VET.
  • Outstanding classroom practitioner skills with the ability to deliver engaging programs to a diverse range of students using ICT and other technologies
  • Lead, support and guide the Heads of Faculty to meet the VCE/VET requirements for the VCE/VET studies in their particular faculty and to enable their functioning collectively as a professional learning team that promotes a positive culture of learning on the campus
  • Organise and lead information sessions on teaching and learning in the VCE/VET for a variety of audiences including staff, students and parents
  • Develop and maintain a network of professional relationships with VCE/VET coordinators, other educators and schools at local, national and regional levels
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
