  • Lead development of the overall vision and direction of the learning area, including developing short and long term goals at campus and College levels
  • Specific interest in the development of the Personal and Physical Development skills in young people
  • Experience in teaching in a PYP setting, as this role is allocated a Primary Teaching load
  • Ensure learning area compliance with all teaching and learning requirements of the IB PYP and reflective of the Reggio Emilia philosophy
  • Plan and run Professional Learning Team sessions for the learning area, including collaborative review and development of teaching and learning units
  • Collaborate with equivalent Head of Faculty (7-12)  to ensure ongoing development of consistency and coherence in the K – 12 curriculum continuum for the learning area
  • Oversee ongoing review, currency and responsiveness of learning area curriculum and  scope and sequence information from K-6
  • Experience in teaching in a PYP setting, this role is allocated a Primary Teaching load
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
