Wesley College Melbourne, a Uniting Church school with a rich tradition spanning 151 years, is a diverse, dynamic, coeducational learning community with more than 3,150 students aged between 3 and 18 years across three main campuses.

We are seeking a passionate, innovative and engaging Individual Needs teacher for a part time (0.5 FTE) position commencing at the start of the 2018 school year. This role is based at the Glen Waverley Campus. Individual Needs teachers seek to optimise the learning outcomes for students with additional learning needs. This will involve assessing student's needs, liaising with internal and external professionals where necessary, and developing and coordinating an appropriate program. Post-graduate tertiary qualifications in special education are essential as the position will involve the administration of restricted assessments. Gifted education qualifications would be highly regarded.

We welcome applications from individuals who are passionate about teaching and have the ability to provide an engaging program to the students using contemporary teaching methods. Demonstrated high level classroom teaching skills and the capacity to work with colleagues to continually improve teaching and learning is essential.

This is your opportunity to shine in a learning environment that will reward your love of learning and thinking.  We provide extensive professional development and individual mentoring, as well as a range of attractive employment benefits.
