Wesley College Melbourne, a Uniting Church school with a rich tradition spanning 152 years, is a diverse, dynamic, coeducational learning community with more than 3,350 students aged between 3 and 18 years across three main campuses.

We are seeking a passionate, innovative and engaging Design Technology Teacher for an ongoing full time opportunity at our St Kilda Road campus commencing Term 1, 2019 or at a mutually agreed time.

The successful candidate will join an enthusiastic and collaborative team of teachers working with students from Years 7 to 10 in the College's Middle Years Programme (MYP) focused on Design and Entrepreneurial thinking. As such, demonstrated experience teaching Design curriculum is required and industry experience will be highly regarded.  Additionally, you should enjoy producing creative work in the fields of product design, engineering, computer science and digital fabrication and facilitate students in project based learning from their initial idea to completion. CAD/CAM Software skills including Adobe Creative Suite, Autodesk Fusion 360 or similar 3D modelling experience/expertise are essential. Experience using digital fabrication tools including laser cutters, 3D printers, vinyl cutters and systems knowledge is required.  

Additionally the successful candidate should be someone who enjoys learning new technologies as they emerge, and is excited to work within a curriculum that has strong ties to industry and real life applications.
