Wesley College Melbourne, a Uniting Church school with a rich tradition spanning 152 years, is a diverse, dynamic, coeducational learning community with more than 3,350 students aged between 3 and 18 years across three main campuses.

We are seeking passionate, innovative and engaging Individual Needs teacher for a part time (0.60 FTE) and ongoing position commencing at the start of 2019 school year. This role is based at the Elsternwick Campus. This successful applicant will be working with students in the Middle and Upper Primary Years.

Individual Needs teachers seek to optimise the learning outcomes for students with additional learning needs. This will involve assessing student's needs, liaising with internal and external professionals where necessary, and developing and coordinating an appropriate program. Post-graduate tertiary qualifications in special education are essential as the position will involve the administration of restricted assessments.

We welcome applications from individuals who are passionate about teaching and have the ability to provide an engaging program to the students using contemporary teaching methods. Demonstrated high level classroom teaching skills and the capacity to work with colleagues to continually improve teaching and learning is essential.
