Wesley College Melbourne, a Uniting Church school with a rich tradition spanning 154 years, is a diverse, dynamic, coeducational learning community with more than 3,350 students aged between 3 and 18 years across three main campuses.
Applications are invited from innovative and engaging Individual Needs teachers for a part-time (0.8FTE) position. This permanent position is based at our Glen Waverley campus and is available from the commencement of the 2021 school year.
Individual Needs teachers seek to optimise the learning outcomes for students with additional learning needs. This will involve assessing student's needs, liaising with internal and external professionals where necessary, and developing and coordinating an appropriate program. As this position is responsible for supporting students learning difficulties as well as gift and talented students, a post-graduate tertiary qualification in special education and/or gifted education are essential. This position will be working with students in the primary years, therefore previous primary experience is required.

Demonstrated high level classroom teaching skills and the capacity to work with colleagues to continually improve teaching and learning is essential.
