Job Description
Wesley College Melbourne, a school of the Uniting Church, established in 1866, is one of Australia's leading and most respected co-educational independent schools. With an enrolment of 3,400 students from ECLC to Year 12, it comprises three metropolitan campuses in Melbourne, at St Kilda Road, Glen Waverley and Elsternwick, outdoor education sites at Chum Creek, Mallana, Lochend and a Year 9 residential campus at Clunes.
Applications are invited from engaging and passionate double bass teachers to provide private tuition to primary and secondary students. You will be suitably qualified and experienced in teaching double bass to individuals and small groups. You will be able to demonstrate an ability to engage students and work effectively with students, parents and staff. The ability to also teach bass guitar would be an advantage.
This position is a casual position, teaching students from Years 2 – 12, for approximately 1 days per week, beginning in Term 1, 2025. The successful candidate will ideally be available on a Tuesday and Wednesday to teach students in the Years 2 - 3 Junior Strings Program, with a possibility of assisting with the Junior Strings Ensemble on a Wednesday morning before school.
