Job Description
Wesley College Melbourne, a school of the Uniting Church, established in 1866, is one of Australia's leading and most respected co-educational independent schools. With an enrolment of 3,400 students from ECLC to Year 12, it comprises three metropolitan campuses in Melbourne, at St Kilda Road, Glen Waverley and Elsternwick, outdoor education sites at Chum Creek, Mallana and Lochend, and a Year 9 residential campus at Clunes.
Applications are invited from innovative and engaging Middle Years Programme (MYP) Design teachers for a Part-time (0.8 FTE, across 10 days). This is temporary leave replacement position for Term 2,3 & 4 2025 (with possibility of ongoing). This position in based at our Glen Waverley campus.
The successful candidate will join an enthusiastic and collaborative team of teachers working with students from Years 7 to 9. Experience with the MYP would be well regarded.
You will enjoy producing creative work in the fields of product design and digital design to facilitate students in project-based learning from their initial idea to completion. CAD/CAM Software skills including Adobe Creative Suite, Autodesk Fusion 360 or similar 3D modelling experience/expertise are essential. Experience using digital fabrication tools including laser cutters, 3D printers, vinyl cutters and systems knowledge is required. Demonstrated experience in a Bachelors Degree in Design and industry experience will be highly regarded, must have teaching qualifications.
