Job Description
Wesley College Melbourne, a school of the Uniting Church established in 1866, is one of Australia's leading and most respected co-educational independent schools. With more than 3,400 students from Early Childhood to Year 12, the College operates across three metropolitan campuses – St Kilda Road, Glen Waverley, and Elsternwick – as well as outdoor education sites at Chum Creek, Mallana, and Lochend, and a Year 9 residential campus in Clunes.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Girls Throwing Coach to join our Athletics Program, spanning our Glen Waverley and St Kilda Road campuses. With two weekly afternoon training sessions and Saturday competitions, the role focuses on coaching female students in Years 7–12 to develop shot put and discus skills in preparation for the APS Finals.
This is a casual position required from August through to November 2025.
The Girls Throwing Coach is responsible for delivering safe, engaging, and progressive sessions, refining techniques, fostering athlete confidence and strength, and collaborating with the Head of Athletics. Candidates should have experience coaching youth in throwing disciplines, a positive and student-focused approach, and a commitment to contributing to a supportive and high-performing Athletics Coaching Team.
Applicants should have athletics coaching accreditation, and school or club level athletics experience as a coach.
