Job Description
Wesley College Melbourne, a school of the Uniting Church, established in 1866, is one of Australia's leading and most respected co-educational independent schools. With an enrolment of 3,400 students from ECLC to Year 12, it comprises three metropolitan campuses in Melbourne, at St Kilda Road, Glen Waverley and Elsternwick, outdoor education sites at Chum Creek, Mallana and Lochend, and a Year 9 residential campus at Clunes.
The College is seeking to appoint a dynamic Head of Business systems in a full-time role. The Head of Business Systems is responsible for ensuring that the organisation's enterprise applications, data systems, and technology environments are strategically aligned with business objectives. This role plays a critical part in bridging technology and business needs, ensuring that IT systems enable operational efficiency, innovation, and informed decision-making.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead the shaping and execution of IT strategy and IT roadmap
- Manage the lifecycle of enterprise applications, including planning, procurement, configuration, integration, support, and decommissioning
- Provide leadership to the Business Systems team and foster continuous improvement
- Act as primary IT-stakeholder liaison for system initiatives and engagement
- Oversee governance of organisational change, vendors, data, and risk
- Ensure seamless system integration, compliance, and business value delivery
- Manage performance reporting, budgets, and vendor relationships
- Support executive reporting and perform other duties as required
