Job Description
Wesley College Melbourne, a school of the Uniting Church, established in 1866, is one of Australia's leading and most respected co-educational independent schools. With an enrolment of 3,400 students from ECLC to Year 12, it comprises three metropolitan campuses in Melbourne, at St Kilda Road, Glen Waverley and Elsternwick, outdoor education sites at Chum Creek, Mallana, Lochend and a Year 9 residential campus at Clunes.
The College is seeking an experienced and passionate School Psychologist for a part-time (0.4 FTE) position, based at our St Kilda Road campus. This position is a leave replacement position, available for commencing in Term 4, 2026 until 18 September 2026.
In making this appointment, the College is seeking applicants who, among other qualities, can demonstrate:
- Qualifications and current registration as a psychologist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA): Current registration with AHPRA as a psychologist and the ability to demonstrate adherence to the APS ethical guidelines and to work within a climate ofomnmencem confidentiality. We will also consider highly skilled and experienced bilingual counsellors with a proven track record of working with children, adolescents,t and their families in a school context.
- Flexibility and adaptability in service delivery, as students may have varying needs and preferences.
- Experience providing specialist counselling to students with regards to personal, emotional, social and intellectual difficulties
- The ability to work in a climate of confidentiality
- Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and other support services within the school.
