Job Description

Located at the St Kilda Road campus, the Head of Faculty – Mathematics is responsible for all curriculum development and pedagogy across Years 7 – 12 and the promotion of creative, innovative thinking and practice among colleagues.
With the assistance of a Faculty Coordinator, the Head of Faculty – Mathematics manages the teaching staff and the curriculum implementation needs of a relatively large Mathematics faculty. An emphasis of the role is to effectively grow and progress outcomes in VCE Units 3 and 4 Mathematics and IBDP programs; and, more broadly, work to support Curriculum Coordinators and other Heads of Faculty, Head and Deputy Head of Campus, Head of Learning and Teaching and the Digital Learning Practice team.
This position of responsibility is for an initial 3-year term, commencing in 2026 with an ongoing teaching role. It is a full-time (1.0 FTE position), comprising of a 0.64 FTE teaching load.
