Job Description
Wesley College Melbourne, a school of the Uniting Church, established in 1866, is one of Australia's leading and most respected co-educational independent schools. With an enrolment of 3,400 students from ECLC to Year 12, it comprises three metropolitan campuses in Melbourne, at St Kilda Road, Glen Waverley and Elsternwick, outdoor education sites at Chum Creek, Mallana, Lochend and a Year 9 residential campus at Clunes.
Applications are invited for the role of Science Laboratory Technician for a full-time temporary leave replacement position, commencing 2 February 2026 until 15 May 2026. This position is based at our Glen Waverley campus.
This is a full-time position; however, we are open to considering multiple part-time arrangements for the right candidates. Please specify your availability and time allocation preference in your cover letter. Previous experience in schools is well regarded.
The successful applicant would be required to:
- Work with Teaching staff to prepare materials for science practical activities
- Order supplies, ensuring the required materials are available when required
- Maintain the science laboratories to the expected standards
- Maintain chemical registers
- Prepare documentation as required by the Head of Science
