Job Description
Wesley College Melbourne, a school of the Uniting Church established in 1866, is one of Australia's leading and most respected coeducational independent schools. With over 3,400 students from Early Learning to Year 12 across three metropolitan campuses, the College offers a rich educational experience that values excellence, inclusivity, and holistic development.
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated First XVIII Coach AFL Boys to provide specialist coaching services and development activities within our Senior Boys Football program. This part-time, temporary appointment plays a vital role in delivering high-quality training, competition, and player development aligned with Wesley's values of teamwork, integrity, and excellence.
The successful candidate will:
- Collaborate effectively with the Head Coach and program staff to build a strong football culture
- Motivate and inspire players to reach their potential in a positive and inclusive team environment
- Attend all training sessions, matches, camps, meetings, and College football events
- Demonstrate leadership in student wellbeing, sportsmanship, and professional conduct
Qualifications and Experience:
- AFL National Coaching Accreditation
- Proven experience coaching or managing at a high level
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
- Current Working with Children Check and First Aid/CPR certification
This is a temporary part-time appointment commencing October 2025 through August 2026.
