Job Description
Wesley College Melbourne, a school of the Uniting Church, established in 1866, is one of Australia's leading and most respected co-educational independent schools. With an enrolment of 3,400 students from ECLC to Year 12, it comprises three metropolitan campuses in Melbourne, at St Kilda Road, Glen Waverley and Elsternwick, outdoor education sites at Chum Creek, Mallana and Lochend, and a Year 9 residential campus at Clunes.
Wesley College is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Outdoor Education Instructor to join the Outdoor Education team at our Lochend campus. This full-time permanent position will commence on 5 October 2026 and offers an opportunity to inspire, engage and encourage young people through meaningful outdoor learning experiences.
The successful applicant will assist in delivering high-quality outdoor education programs, teaching practical outdoor skills and promoting environmental awareness. Responsibilities will also include supporting the day-to-day operation of the campus, maintaining equipment and facilities, supervising students—including overnight supervision—and ensuring all activities are delivered in accordance with established safety procedures.
Applicants must hold a Certificate IV in Outdoor Education, a current driver's licence, Working with Children Check and National Police Certificate. The successful applicant will demonstrate a strong commitment to child safety, a passion for environmental education and the ability to meet the physical and mental demands of working in an outdoor environment.
Applicants are required to hold a valid WWCC and provide a National Police Check.
